MMA Training Gloves
MMA Training gloves, which are also commonly referred to as sparring or practice gloves, are specifically designed for use outside of actual fight competitions. Just like in any other contact sport MMA fighters are prone to injuries, even when practicing. Training gloves helped mitigate this potential damage by offering more cushioning and protection.
It is important however to pick training gloves that do not impede the mobility and range of motion afforded to a fighter in the way that significantly affects their form and execution. Good training gloves should still somewhat resemble the gloves a fighter wears during competitions, albeit with more padding to prevent practice related injuries.
It's generally a really good idea to wear training gloves while sparring with a partner. And MMA fighter does not want to hurt his or her opponent during practice. Standard MMA fight gloves do not possess enough padding to be safely used on anything near a consistent basis in sparring or training situations.
When shopping for training gloves you should be sure to purchase gloves that explicitly say they are for use in sparring, training, or practice situations.
